Some notes

If you look at the original Water Lily theme, you'll notice that they do some cool CSS tricks with the date. I was hoping to get that same effect here, but the physical layout of the Tabula Rasa layout made it impossible for me to do so. I will keep trying, though, so keep your eyes open for a new version of Water Lily at some point.

Additionally, I have run out of energy and have not yet converted this layout into S2. Sorry. But it is fully installable on top of a blank Tabula Rasa by following the instructions below.

Images

This is a very image-heavy layout, especially with the ginormous header image, so it's very important that you host your images somewhere where you will not need to worry about bandwidth limits. The free image host ImageShack is a decent host for this sort of thing. PhotoBucket might have some difficulty with bandwidths.

The seven images are as follows:
A tiled background image (jpg): link.
A custom bullet for bulleted lists (gif): link.
A footer image (gif): link.
A header banner (jpg): link.
A header image for sidebar modules (gif): link.
A header image for posts (gif): link.
A footer image for posts (gif): link.
All images in a compressed file, along with the CSS Code, here: link (tar.gz).

Please, please, please upload these images to your own host, or ImageShack, especially for this bandwidth-intensive template.

Installation Instructions

Though I ran out of time to make this a S2 layout, Water Lily is fully installable as a CSS skin on top of the Tabula Rasa layout. To install, follow the instructions below:
  1. Set your Style to Tabula Rasa Plain. Click on Customize your Theme.

  2. Go to this page and select all of the code underneath the heading CSS Code. Copy it (Ctrl+C).

  3. Go to the Customize Your Theme > Custom CSS page and paste the CSS code into the box marked "Use embedded CSS" (the really big box). Uncheck the option titled "Use layout's stylesheet(s)."

IMPORTANT: If you look over the CSS code, you will notice there are parts in bold. These are file names of images; you will need to replace those bolded filenames with the image files that you have uploaded. (Please see section Images above.)

I'm using this layout right now, and I have one issue: on my Reading page, the username of a poster overlaps the date of the post, just underneath the post title, enough that I can't see the date OR the username! Is there anything I can change to fix that?

Excellent, thank you!! I will certainly do that, and have credited you in my profile, of course!

One other issue has popped up (I don't mean to be a bother! But you did say... *g*):

When I go to edit a comment, the comment box extends into the right-hand column, behind the links list and date and such. I can still type in the box, but it's obscured by the right-hand column information.

I love this layout! I am having a teeny-tiny problem though -- the dateline on entries is all the way off to the right, over the lotus icon, and the entry title is on the left. Is there any way to move the date over to the left as well?

ETA: I did a bit of fiddling, and found that taking out the right margin and setting text alignment to left corrects the problem. :-)

Noticed one or two of the background images are missing now - are they anywhere we can still download and save them?
